Portrait Portfolio

Portrait work is the most demanding and the most rewarding -- when it's right. And there is no alternative to getting it right. When I'm happy with a portrait it breathes and communicates powerfully about the essential being of the subject and also the likeness. Not a slavish likeness - use photography for that. I live and die a few times inside a portrait for the duration until I am satisfied.
