Still Life Portfolio

I do still life in the studio when I can't be outside or need a break from Portrait work. I'm always surprised at how much I enjoy both the process and the result.  Inside I have the luxury to linger on shape, to draw, study the north light, build up an effect and rethink the composition.  It's so different than the intense and fast scramble of catching a light effect in the field as the sun is quickly moving. Since I fired up my field easel and started painting again after a 16 year "short term" detour back into business, I haven't been painting still life.  I am in the process of collecting images of my still life portfolio to post here.  When you next check in you'll likely find more.
